Augmented Reality
Hello everyone!
In this post, I will talk about Augmented Reality and my first experience about this relatively new teaching material.
Augmented reality is a technology that allows video, picture and 3D models and animations to be visualizedin a 3D environment based on elements of the real world. It has different types and purposes.
The ways to access augmented reality are QR codes, trigger images, markerless AR apps and GPS locations.
When I first heard about this technology I thought it is a hard and comlicated system and was worried about how will I able to use this to create a teaching material. But as we went through the examples I realized that it actually is not something I am not familiar with and it is not as complicated as I thought.
In our daily lives we see lots of examples of augmented reality and we can even say that they started to be a part of us.
As we understood the core of this system, the only thing that is left was to integrate to education. With my groupmate Eda Selimoğlu (stairwaytoenglish) we created a augmented reality teaching material. It was not a hard project and I enjoyed the creation part.
